Actress Taapsee Pannu is on a roll. With back to back releases this year, the beauty sure has a lot to look forward to. But the icing on the cake was provided by the 66th Vimal Elaichi Filmfare Awards 2021 held in Saturday that gave her the Best Actor Leading Role (Female) for her film Thappad. It was a glorious moment for her and also a validation for all the hard work she’s put in over the years. The actress had a neck to neck competition with other nominees including Deepika Padukone for Chhapaak, Janhvi Kapoor’ for ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, Kangana Ranaut for ‘Panga’ and Vidya Balan for ‘Shakuntala Devi’.

Thappad has also won a lot of other awards including Best Film, Best Playback Singer (Male), Best Story, Best Sound Design, Best Editing, and Best Background Score. Taapsee will next be seen in Rashmi Rocket.
