Veteran actor Akshaye Khanna, starring in the narratively packed Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti, is set to storm theatres on July 4, 2025. Loosely based on the 2002 Akshardham Temple attack in Gandhinagar, this big-screen recreation looks set to be the perfect salute to the unmatched bravery and dedication of NSG commandos.

Khanna stars as the film’s best counterterrorism operative, working to stop the terrorists before they can execute their deadly attack. Perhaps best remembered until now for his digital directorial debut in State of Siege: Temple Attack on ZEE5, this is his roaring big screen return with a tale set very much so in the real-life environment outside.

In particular, Khanna took on the burden one feels in representing real-life military figures, detailing how his original role fueled him beyond getting it right—not merely getting it right—but honouring the uniform.

Now, with its recent release on major Indian theatres just a few weeks away, excitement is at a fever-pitch for what promises to be one of 2023’s most beloved Indian films. We’re looking forward to bringing an inspiring story to a billion-strong audience when this thing launches on July 4th.
